Feed Parts

Every company that operates a blast machine wants to save money in machine down time, maintenance labor and total production costs. In blasting, the direct route to achieve these goals is to use Pangborn® OEM feed parts on your machine.

Feed parts are exposed to a high amount of wear due to being directly exposed to the distribution of abrasive. It is critically important that the feed parts in the Rotoblast® wheel are properly maintained to insure the lowest cost and maximum cleaning efficiency. With proper parts and targeting, the blast stream can be targeted correctly which ensures proper cleaning and minimizes wear in the cabinet.

Vanes, which are the agents that distribute the abrasive, are closely balanced in sets to within a few grams of tolerance. They are cast with wear resistance alloys specified by Pangborn®, carefully heat treated and inspected for surface finish and dimensional tolerance. This extreme amount of care maximizes wear life and provides the lowest service cost.

The impeller is carefully engineered and produced to provide uniform distribution of abrasive to the impeller case and vanes. Pangborn® impellers run true, and deliver abrasive uniformly, which helps increase part life and achieve cleaning goals.

The impeller case must be engineered and produced exactly as it is the agent that controls the direction of the abrasive. Without proper aim, the system loses cleaning efficiency and thereby increase costs because of premature wear on other parts.
