Sand Reclamation Systems

Pangborn® sand reclamation systems help you cut your new sand usage by up to 90% while substantially reducing your operating and maintenance costs. Pangborn® sand systems can be combined with virtually any style of Rotoblast® equipment.

If you don't need a blast machine, independent sand systems are available. Pangborn Independent Sand Systems range in size from compact mini systems (333 and 444) that crush lumps, mechanically scrub sand and control fines -- to more complete systems (ISS) that incorporate the RotoConditioner® III mechanical scrubber to scrub and classify sand after crushing.

The Pangborn® 4-in-1 system performs shakeout, blast cleaning and sand reconditioning in one enclosed operation. The system can be used with a variety of Rotoblast® abrasive cleaning machines.

RotoConditioner III Mechanical Scrubber

At the heart of every Pangborn® sand reclamation system is the RotoConditioner® III Mechanical Scrubber. This advanced system is designed to cut your new sand usage by up to 90%, while substantially reducing your operating and maintenance costs. It removes surface clay and binder residues (organic and inorganic) faster and more efficiently from sand grains. Sand geometry is dramatically improved, while fines and screen distributions are controlled.

Compared to competitive scrubbers (pneumatic, wet or thermal) the Rotoconditioner® III requires less horsepower, takes up less floor space and is generally less costly to install.

You'll be able to measure the results directly through reduced new sand and disposal costs, improved casting quality, and lower casting scrap costs.
